I have finally created a new intro and show you a demo of what it looks like. The summer intro will be finished in the course of the year. Have fun watching it!

A new phase of life has now begun! For the website's 9th birthday, I'm enchanting you with a modern style of YouTube 2013. The classic design from 2009 is disappearing. I want to rewritten it over the winter and revive it as an archive for the classic design. For 9 years this design existed with constant improvements. I'll give you a link to look the nostalgia.

In addition to the latest layout 2013, the font width and other things have been fixed in the 2009 layout.

Since October 1, 2024, visitors can get an exclusive preview of the future new design on my website. It is based on YouTube 2013 under the name One Channel Layout. The old design is still available until the end of this year and will be replaced on January 1, 2025.

I have vacation from October. During this time I would like to use to change some things on my website. This includes the translations that I have as a file. So far I have only offered 3 translations than usual. My free time is low and also listless to employ my website. So I made a decision on how it will be on my vacation for changes.

Translations from my files are removed, instead I use Google translator.
-Maybe the header from YouTube 2009 is used. I dont know exactly yet.

After more than half a year I finally report back with a new domain extension. There were big difficulties with the old server since the change from IPV4 to IPV6 from September 2022. The site was blocked by the firewall and also a redirection didnt bring anything anymore. So I had to close my previous page. It is still callable, but it does not work anymore.

This time I will save with the update video, but write it short: From March 21st I will work again and that means: The videos could be released a few days later. It depends on the available free time.

I used to be on VidLii and BitView to upload my videos. On VidLii you can see the classic YouTube design from 2009 with different channel designs from versions 1, 2 and 3. On VidLii I have stopped completely, because it is not worth it, because of low interest in my videos. Way too many trolls that are messing around. Nothing happens to remove these users. It is ignored. The admins do not care their job. No recommendation. On BitView also gets a Classic YouTube design from 2008. The videos you want to upload are in 360p(So right at the time then). The admin on this site doesn't seem to listen to the users very much in my opinion. With me it was fully ignored on my comment to have an option where users can change their name in the groups. This has been ignored so far. I can't understand it. There was an ad put on the homepage to make BitView a better place. I don't know if you should support something like that.

On my website there should also soon finally be the possibility that you can see with your mobile browsers in adapted form. It is a very big effort to adapt the elements. The first start is in my vacation in October. The final version for all visitors will come in winter 2021/2022.

Bad news: I'm having big problems designing a responsive design with the current layout. It is not feasible to adjust the elements so that it can be viewed well from mobile. The only option there is that I have to take a completely, new layout(forced). And I won't do that. It had taken me a good 10 months to design it to my liking before opening my site in December 2015.

Due to my job, it is difficult for me to write new blogs. So far I have not managed to create images from the 2021 season. There may be some delay. I also need to have time for it.

Today, 12 years ago, this project was launched. A total of almost 170 videos and soon 200 pictures have accumulated in the many years, as well as been on various video platforms. Meanwhile I'm back at VidLii and BitView.

Since April 1, the season has started again. The goal is, as every year, to make many videos about thunderstorms and upload them here. You can also find me on other video platforms. I had decided to do this.
Also, you can see a new background image, which there was in 2017. Now it's back and looks great too. For the summer variant(From June - August) the colors are adjusted.
The videos might appear a few days later from the video date. That is when you have to work. I do not have much time.

From March 11th my work begins. This means that new videos will be uploaded a few days later. It depends on the free time I have.

The site had been down for several days. My server went down and it smelled burnt. New PC parts had to be ordered and now everything is back as it should be. However, it has become much faster now. A complete upgrade for the server.

Now it finally looks different. The video player and the picture gallery got a redesign. Furthermore it finally fits into your web browser. No matter how big your application window is. Happens automatically.
For mobile browsers I can't promise that it looks like that.

I was quite lucky that weekend (June 13). Many video recordings have been made, so that, a 2-part video was created. For the coming weekend there will again be strong thunderstorms. As always, it depends on the development of the storm front.

It's been a long time since I last wrote a new blog. It is the same as always at the moment: job and little free time. This is the 150th blog entry that I write here on my site. *Glad*. But there's also an update on the status with the weather project:

-Since May 25th the initial part with weather forecast and the video title has been removed. This saves time. You can already see the intro and after that the video.

-I've only been able to film one thunderstorm so far. Hopefully there will be more ;).

-NEW: Thunderstorm 2020 Summer. A format, as the name already says, will be available for summer. No matter if thunderstorm, weather or time lapse. It does not matter. Start is the 1st of June and goes until the 31st of August. It brings a little fresh kick in the project.

To this page I was also already registered with my 2nd project. In the beginning it went well, but then the views were far down. Because my thumbnails did not inspire new viewers. I had redesigned it, so you could see from the pictures in the video. My 2. project is not there anymore. I think to start there at VLare.tv again. Only, give me reasons why you should upload videos. Nowadays one is hardly trying to upload qualitative videos. Just trash videos(These have many views, especially on VidLii, *cough*). What kind of world do we actually live in? I know that weather videos do not interest many users. But, if you watch one of these, it may well show interest. As I said, I like long intros to my videos(From the 90s). We are now in the 20's (Just cost saving, I don't see that at all). There are no short Intros from me!

Meanwhile it's already almost 1 week ago, where I closed my channel on VidLii. It had been a pity for those who did not want me to leave. But I had decided. In the meantime I do not regret it, I am even glad about it. I visit VidLii from time to time, but my joy sinks abruptly when I see videos that are just trash. That's why I want to explain the main reason. I watched videos that become so popular for some unknown reason. There is no quality behind it at all! That doesn't belong there. For a long time I was tired of putting up with it. My videos always strive for high quality. Unfortunately, we live in the present time, where everywhere is only saving money! In the past, everything had been different. You had had enough money to produce something of high quality. But unfortunately this is extinct! I'm just the one who does it. I missed a big part of the 90's when I was a kid. When I saw on YouTube what the quality was like, I thought, I would like to relive that. They had provided real entertainment back then. But today, you can really forget about it. I don't understand it. It's not what I want. In the past few years, I've learned to rely on this one. But why aren't the users watching this? Because the intros are too long. I don't want to shorten it or I'll get shit. I don't see why. That's the reason I wanted to mention why I quit VidLii on January 15th. Nobody seems to miss me yet. Anyway...

I hope you've made a good start to the new decade. I did. So with the title I want to say that the time where I(Lightstorm91) was on different video sharing sites is now completely over. I had already announced last year at the start of the 2019 season that the project will not be continued on these pages. Now after a long rest period on VidLii some new videos are uploaded. There is a video that will be finally finished in January 2020, with video sharing, mentioned. Also the channel will be closed on January 15th, 2020. However, I see that already some users find it very sad that I will leave. I have now thought about whether I still have Discord and actually I have an account there. A very last video on VidLii will come, where I will inform the users if they want to stay in contact with me. I don't have Facebook, Instragram or Twitter and I don't want to.

A slightly different special of this kind! I was on Saturday evening, August 31 with a buddy on the Teufelsberg. We watched the fireworks. I took the opportunity to make video recordings of it. The view was wonderful, but far away. There are 3 parts of this special.

Another year has passed since the opening 3 years ago. Time flies, as if in flight. Meanwhile the site has already reached the 14000 views.

The weather project is in a critical situation. I barely have time to deal with this. It's just stress and choas at work. I am forced to limit this even further. Even with a break for the 2018 season.

In the current situation I don't have time for the weather project. I have a decision to make soon, whether my plans come sooner or not. This restriction has existed since 2016. But this year it's even worse. I have to work overtime. The weather's really freaking out right now. It's not normal anymore.

The often very nice and warm weather also has its downsides: Drought and danger of forest fires. In May, only 1 to 10 L/m fell in Berlin and Brandenburg, some places even remained completely dry. No rain is to be expected in these regions for the next few days either. Thus, the drought is and remains and the risk of forest fires will continue to increase, regionally it is already at the highest level.

That's quite extraordinary what's coming up from the weekend. Arctic cold air covers the whole of Germany! According to current weather forecasts, even the coldest part of the winter could be approaching. With daytime temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius, it can be really dangerous for humans and animals. Not to mention the crisp cold nights. It's getting bitterly cold! The weekend heralds a longer cold phase in Germany. The temperatures in the north-east of Germany are already on Saturday (February 24th, 2018) in the permafrost zone. On Sunday (February 25th, 2018) frost air also covers the other parts of the country. This means that Germany has a few ice days ahead of it. Temperatures will continue to fall in the new week. Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne are also threatened by frost for several days. According to current model calculations, the peak of the cold wave will be forecast in the middle of next week. For example, temperatures are falling regionally below -10 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, hardly more than -4 degrees Celsius are predicted. At night even -20 degrees Celsius are possible. A rare "super-blue-bloodmoon eclipse" will fascinate moon fans at the end of January. However, it remains hidden from the sky-goers in Germany. On that day a storm came over Berlin in the morning. Unfortunately I could not make recordings. However, I noticed on the work that was a violent storm from the north. It thundered frequently. Stormy gusts were also present. I had to pour my grave sites.

I had some luck on Tuesday. It moved a thunderstorm in the evening from North of Berlin. You can see not much through the trees.

I'm just going to restore the intro. However, I decided just for the planned Thunderstorm 2018 Season to create with Blender 3D.

I am busy at the moment. This is because I last Wednesday my hard drive was broken and thus my data have been lost. All weather videos are saved on the server. I need to restore the intros, drafts, and logos.

This weekend determined a moist air mass for intense showers and thunderstorms. For Berlin, first thunderstorm warnings are active. Thus, the first video could come, hopefully

Look at the map from Germany today. Then you can see that in many places there are intense showers with thunderstorms. The reason is a warm and humid air mass.

In the meantime, it has been 8 years since I started the project. What a time that has passed.

Just in minutes, I decide to take back the changes for Thunderstorm 2018. I find that current scheme is best. Nothing is screwed on the design. Things to change bring the bad.

I was no longer satisfied with the current header, so the old header is available again.

On the new round at Thunderstorm 2017 season. As every year, it is as many thunderstorms as possible to film. I try to do this while working outside. For the first video, there is a timelapse video here, at Wenoo and VidBitfuture.

Changes for TS 2018

On Thursday afternoon, a tornado raged in Kürnach. More than 50 houses were badly damaged, as the Bavarian Broadcasting Company reported. District councilor Eberhard Nuß called the disaster event in the evening. Nobody got hurt.

The Tornado developed according to the Tornado list Germany against 4:40 PM. Shortly after 5 pm, the first emergency calls arrived at the police department. The fire brigade, the rescue service and the technical relief organization advanced with a total of around 130 helpers, as the BR reported. Apart from the damage to the houses, at least two trees were knocking around, a garden house was surrounded, a hall covered.

Great disappointment on vidme. No user has interested in my content and not follow me. I give up and delete my channel. There are users who make their videos effort to make a slightly different content (like me) and that is the thanks for it?

A year has passed and has changed a lot. A changed domain address, redesigned video page, More details inserted from YouTube, Changed blog page, Current 2315 views on the site. Especially the weekend (September 10th & September 11th) per day 500 views counted. This is a record I never expected.

What are my plans for 2017?

- A new design that you can choose. I will not tell you what it means. It is under development.

- There could be a community. Which design will come, I can not say yet. Either the channel design version 1 or 2. It will be difficult to make that. I can not promise it.

The next Supermoon falls in the night on December 14th, 2016. For December 13th, the moon is only 358.461 kilometers away. However, it does not hit the record of November 14th. It is 2000 kilometers further away. Nevertheless it is worth to look in the sky in good weather when you see it.
